There are tragic secrets and a ghastly past, memories that linger within the soil on Crow Island, all hidden and ready to surface. The local bees have become restless, the residents are suddenly compelled to claw at the earth, and the ground begins to quiver with distress and chaos . . . blood and honey. Dig is deliciously unsettling and atmospheric.

Despite the creation of engaging and imaginative horror, I’ve discovered that this author’s heart yearns for historical fiction . . . and that is where my heart burns too. You will get a taste of that love at the core of this story, and it makes it all the richer. I’m hooked and will be anxiously awaiting any of his future releases.

I highly recommend this book to fans of surreal horror, folklore, dark history, or creepy suspense.

I thank NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of Dig for my unbiased evaluation.  4 stars
